Received $1 in the exchange of $1.50.
I was doing my workout at a nearby park. Felt unusually thirsty and was glad that I have some coins with me. Slot the coins into the vending machine, yearning for that bottle of chilled 100 Plus. Then nothing came out. Arh!!!
Later that day, I picked up $1 from the floor next to the table where I was having my sandwich.
:D Well, at least my loss has been minimised.
“We now live in a world that we are connected to everything except ourselves.”
A thought by someone born more than 300 years ago still holds true in today’s world. Blaise Pascal, a futurist of his time.
I have great admiration for both father and son, despite all challenges life throws at them, they can still make the best out of the situation.
What kind of excuses do I have for not reaching my goals? I feel that I’m really fortunate and I should make full use of my gifts that I’m given to fulfill my destiny.
Keeping myself updated on a module that I’m very passionate in; legacy and succession planning. This is an area that Singaporeans are lacking and should put in more emphasis.
I like the way how Ms Kimmis Pun change the perspective of a superstitious client. Instead of telling her client about drafting a Will or Setting up a Trust, she used the term “Living instructions”. And that is so true. The “letter of wishes” or instruction setup by the settlor (Via a Trust) or testator (Via a Will) is simply to regulate our loved ones after our demise. Those instructions are for the people who are living. If properly drafted with the correct structure, it can prevent or minimise family disputes.
Passing valuables alone may not truly bring benefits to your loved ones. We should also pass on our values, something that made us successful, to our beneficiaries.
Looking forward to Day 2.
